Home and Projects

Skylar loves to do homework and it's a good thing since her teacher sends home a lot of it!  There's the weekly dictee (spelling test), flash cards and, starting in January, some projects.

Sloane also joins in the homework club...although we spend most of our time keeping her from eating the crayons.  In fact, we graduated to pencil crayons for her.  Apparently they aren't as tasty as wax crayons!

The project for this term was Rules and Regulations.  Skylar had to interview her family members to see what rules they had to follow when they were kids and then document if she also has to follow the same ones.

It was quite a large project and took us a couple of weeks to complete.  She was very proud of the finished product and couldn't wait to present it to the class.
Special thanks to Serge for translating some of it for me.  My French is horrendous...I have gots to get me some Rosetta Stone.  Getting schooled by a six year old all the time is getting embarrassing!
